Choose based on your plugin plan
The first question is not which name sounds better. The real question is which framework supports the plugins and maintenance workflow you expect to run.
- If your community already depends on a specific plugin set, start there.
- If you are building a new server, choose the framework that best matches your long-term admin workflow.
- If you are not using plugins yet, do not force a framework decision before it becomes useful.
Stability matters more than novelty
Most owners are better served by a setup they can understand and maintain than by chasing the newest possible stack.
When comparing frameworks, check:
- Plugin compatibility
- Community familiarity
- Ease of updates
- How easy it is to troubleshoot when something breaks
Keep the rest of the stack simple
A plugin framework is only one layer. You still need a sane hosting plan, a controlled mod list, and a clean backup routine.
